Gallery Sree Arts, a Delhi-NCR, based art gallery was established in 2006: with an idea to create a space that sets an example in promoting artists; imminent and masters; taking them to a stage both national and global by organising exhibitions, art campaigns as well as artist-in-residencies. The brain child of Jitendra Padam Jain, who is the Founder of the gallery and JJ Sanskriti School of Visual Arts; is an International artist, well-known Curator and an avid art Collector.
The concept of Gallery Sree Arts sprouted in his mind, when post his education he visited several renowned institutions and experienced the kind of work they were doing. Since then, the Gallery has exhibited at the Indian and International platforms such as the Lalit Kala Akademi, India Habitat Centre Delhi, the Goa Film Festival, Japan Biennale, the Mumbai Kala Ghoda Festival, Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre Delhi, Indo-French Cultural Centre Dé Delhi, Roerich Art Museum Naggar and Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts Delhi, to name a few. Gallery Sree Arts today has established a name for itself in the art world.
Jitendra holds a Masters in Fine Arts from the Jamia Milia Islamia Delhi and a Diploma in Painting from the Royal College of Arts London. He believes art is now, not restricted to just painting on traditional mediums; from paper to canvas, to architecture, to computers, it is all around us, and takes many forms today.
The gallery also has a collection of works by eminent and contemporary artists such as Akbar Padamsee, Jogen Chowdhury, Arup Das, Sanat Kar, Sunil Das, Krishen Khanna, Lalu Prasad Shaw, K. Laxma Goud, M.F. Hussain, Thota Vaikuntam, Rini Dhumal, Haku Shah, Arpana Caur, Partha Pratim Dey, Yashwant Shirwadkar, Ratan Parimoo, K.G. Subramanyan, Dinkar Kaushik, Kanchan Chander, Kavita Nayar, Sukhwinder Singh, Ananda Moy Banerji, Sushanta Guha, Ajit Seal, Ashok Bhowmick, Manish Pushkale to name some.
